On Dec. 12, the Orlando Sentinel reported that Legoland Florida Resort in Winter Haven may be transforming around four acres of what is currently parking lot space into a new section for its park in 2021.

Conceptual plans filed with the Southwest Florida Water Management District show at least a half-dozen new rides and attractions, as well as a new 11,850-square-foot building.

The building may be a place where visitors can watch Lego models being built by staff.

Legoland Florida Resort staff and visitors will be celebrating 10 years of operation in Winter Haven in 2021.

In addition to the park expansion, Legoland Florida Resort staff will be premiering a new water sports stunt show in February and a new 4-D movie in the spring.

Staff with parent company Merlin Entertainments Group reportedly submitted plans to the City of Winter Haven back in October.

Legoland Florida Resort spokeswoman Kelly Hornick has told multiple media outlets that more details may be released soon.
