Lighting the pipe
Sebring city firefighters examine the burnt-through remains of a steel pipe shortly after 6 p.m., Friday. It was inserted in the planter above them at Dimitri’s Its 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar, and they found it smoking when they arrived to a report of a structure fire. Lt. Rachel Smit, above at center, said it appears someone, at some time, dropped a lit cigarette into the pipe, which lit the contents. There were no injuries, revelers returned to their drinks.
