Debra V. Moulton

Debra Vance Moulton, 69, passed away on July 9, 2020.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on a beautiful fall day in 1950. Debra was a full-time resident of Lake Placid, Florida for the past two years after practicing life as a snowbird for five years from her home base of Bloomington, Indiana. She lived in Monroe County for 50 years and was a contributing member of the community; she was a philanthropist at her core.

Debra worked as a business manager at the Center for Dental Wellness for over 30 years, where she never met a stranger. She was a member of the Good Morning Toastmasters club for over 20 years, where she excelled at public speaking and served as a mentor. She was a member of Unity of Bloomington (and later Unity of Sebring), where she cultivated her spiritual side and positive outlook on life. Debra enjoyed music and singing, horseback riding, fishing, racquetball and even learned to downhill ski and golf to humor her family.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, “Al” and Maxine Vance. She is survived by her paternal uncle, Stan Vance of Munster, Indiana; her loving husband, Glenn of Lake Placid, Florida; children, Sarah S. Weeks (Chris) of Fort Collins, Colorado, Heather Moulton of Chandler, Arizona and Ryan Moulton (Ling) of Victorville, California; sister, Patricia Wilson (Gary) of Bloomington, Indiana; niece, Kelli Wallace (John); grandnephew, Caden Wallace; grandniece, Olivia Wallace of Fort Collins, Colorado; and her beloved grand fur babies, Buddy and Holly.

There will be a virtual celebration of life in the next month and no traditional funeral. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Unity of Sebring (Sebring, Florida) or Shalom Community Center (Bloomington, Indiana). Everyone who felt Deb’s loving kindness during her life will carry a piece of her legacy forever.
