Travis Charles LaFlam, 48, of Sebring, Florida passed away on April 28, 2020, in Sebring, Florida.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1971, in Avon Park to Larry LaFlam and Dorothelia “Dot” Thompson LaFlam. He was a lifelong resident of Highlands County.
Travis was a 1989 graduate of Avon Park High School. His excellent skills in baseball earned him a full-ride scholarship where he then attended Edward Waters College and graduated with a master’s degree in business management. After returning to his hometown of Avon Park, he started his own business as LaFlam Stucco.
Travis enjoyed softball, golf, shooting darts, fishing and hunting. He volunteered and supported many charities in the community.
Travis is survived by his father, Larry (Donna) LaFlam; children, Kijahna Blake, Diamonte Mitchell-LaFlam, Desmond Mitchell-LaFlam and Quantavia LaFlam; brother, Chris LaFlam; stepsister, Stephanie Limardo; granddaughter, MaKayla and grandson, Shara. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, a nephew, three nieces and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothelia (Dot) Thompson LaFlam.
A service for Travis LaFlam will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020. Viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park with graveside service to follow at Bouganvillea Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. in Avon Park.
