Hello, my name is Luna Perez. I have been in the Running Club for three years. During those three years I have had the time of my life. We joke, laugh and most importantly we build up endurance to be able to run three miles.

The Wildwood Wildcats girls basketball team is 11-1 as they move into the new year and back on the court. Their most recent collection of wins in the Mount Dora Christian Christmas Tournament.

Three teachers in Sumter were awarded Florida Farm Bureau Federation classroom mini grants this year. Eileen Badger, Jessica Hamilton and Morgan Hall – Wildwood Elementary School, Bushnell Elementary School and Webster Elementary School.

“The week went great,” said Dewaine Lyals, head coach for Wildwood varsity basketball of the school’s fourth annual Hoopsgiving Classic.

The Wildcats are currently2-2, with an upcoming game against Mt. Dora Christian. A home game for Wildwood, Monday start time is 7 p.m.

Last Friday was the first loss of the season for the South Sumter Raiders, but even with a 35-7 score, Cocoa, South Sumter still managed 185 yards for the game.
